Yes, you can change employers while in the U.S. on a TN visa. You must register the change at a port of entry or through a USCIS service center. This will allow you to travel freely in and out of the country. If you apply by mail to remain in the U.S., the process can be expensive, may require a lawyer, and will prevent you from traveling freely. In an emergency, you can leave the U.S., but you will not be allowed to return. AGR does not recommend applying by mail.

Yes, you can work for multiple employers as long as you have valid TN visa status for each job. Working in a job that is not covered by your TN visa would violate immigration law.

No. Your spouse and unmarried minor children under 18 may accompany you on a derivative TN, but they cannot legally work in the U.S. Your children may attend school.

AGR provides free guidance. We only make money once you start working for us. We help you negotiate a rate based on your salary expectations, with an additional AGR margin of 30% according to the contract type.

AGR does not receive money during your visa process. You invest about $170 USD for the visa appointment, then $300 or $600 USD for the visa issuance fee for 1 or 4 years; both fees are paid directly to the American consulate. The process takes about 3 months, depending on the period and location where you apply. We reimburse visa costs when you get your first job.

The typical duration is 4 years, and it can be renewed indefinitely in yearly increments. Some AGR associates have worked for 7 years while renewing their visas. You must have a valid passport, with more than a year of validity to get a visa for 1 year. AGR recommends a new passport with 3 to 5 years of validity because we request visas for 3 years.
